Webinar: Managing Compliance and Risks in China in Times of Geopolitical Tensions                               18 November - 10 AM CET

The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce has the pleasure of inviting you to a webinar focused on Managing Compliance and Risks in China in Times of Geopolitical Tensions. This will take place on 18 November at 10 AM.

More than ever before, foreign-invested companies operating in China are having to deal with a rapidly evolving legal and regulatory environment that affects their day-to-day business operations. The current geopolitical tensions and their unforeseen consequences for businesses across the globe add yet another layer to an already complex risk management equation.

Recent incidents such as the Nexperia crisis are again proving that our international supply chains are far from decoupled and that businesses at large are liable to be impacted by what happens in China.

In this setting, it is essential to stay ahead of the fray and to rely on first-hand information about what is really happening on the ground in China.

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Philippe Snel, Founder and Lawyer at DaWo Law Firm Shanghai, who will share his view from China on current developments and provide practical guidance on how to best address risk and compliance management.

About the Speaker:                                                                                                                                                                                                   Philippe Snel has been practicing as a foreign lawyer in China for over 20 years. He founded DaWo Law Firm Shanghai and has advised numerous foreign investors on establishing and growing their businesses in China. In recognition of his contributions to Shanghai’s development, he received the Silver Magnolia Award from the Shanghai Municipal Government in 2021 and currently serves as Counsellor for Economic Diplomacy at the Belgian Consulate General in Shanghai.
