The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC) and the EU–China Business Association have the pleasure to invite you to a webinar on "European Business in China: Position Paper 2025/2026", to be held on 24 October 2025 at 10 am CEST.
The Position Paper 2025/2026 highlights the key challenges faced by European companies operating in China, examines broader issues within China’s economy, and provides constructive recommendations to the Chinese Government on how these challenges can be addressed.
With China now entering the preparatory phase of its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–2030), the Paper reviews the results of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025) and suggests focus areas for the upcoming plan. The aim is to refine guiding principles to foster a more open, transparent, and mutually beneficial EU–China trade and investment relationship.
To support China’s overarching goal of securing sustainable, high-quality economic growth, the Paper puts forward five key recommendations, calling for action to tackle underlying structural challenges, optimise capital allocation, promote equitable trade relationships, and implement policies that allow European companies to contribute more to China’s green and digital transitions.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand insights into the current business landscape in China and explore how European companies can navigate the country’s evolving economic and regulatory environment.
