On 16 November, Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director, FCCC attended the closing ceremony of the China Partners Academic Forum of our structural partner, Ghent University. With this annual initiative, the East Asia Platform of Ghent University aims to promote cooperation in education, research and innovation between Ghent University and its partners universities in China and wants to create a strong platform for scientific exchanges and collaboration. 11 Partner universities from China participated in this CPAF 2024.
This year's reception in Shanghai was jointly organised with the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association Benelux chapter (SORSA Benelux).
This reception was a unique activity to meet with Chinese alumni from Ghent University in Shanghai. Many are now active in leading Chinese companies or Belgian companies established in China. The reception took place in the presence of the Belgian Consul-General Pascal Buffin.
Ghent University had a broad network of alumni in China and in Belgium which can certainly be interesting for our members.
