On May 11, the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce and the EU SME Centre in Beijing organized an illuminating seminar titled “Get Ready for China”, which was held at the residence of the Governor of West-Flanders in Bruges. Mr Alessio Petino, Business Advisor of the EU SME Centre, delivered an insightful presentation on how best to approach the Chinese market. As he emphasized: “China is not a side project! A company/business leader must be 100% committed.” Mr Davide Orlandi, EU Partnership Coordinator, introduced the participants to the services of the EU SME Centre and explained how the Centre can assist those doing business in and with China. The presentations were followed by a lively panel discussion. Moderated by Ms Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director, Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce, the panelists Mr Manuel Goossens, General Manager at Good !D, and Mr Reinhart Viane, Business Development Director at KCC Entertainment Design, shared the lessons learned from their China business experiences.
