The China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China) is the only international aerospace trade show approved by the Chinese central government and supported by Chinese aerospace industries. Featuring the display of actual products, trade talks, technological exchanges, flying displays, and ground dynamic performances, the show takes place biannually in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. Since 1996, Airshow China has been successfully held for 14 sessions, becoming one of the most influential aerospace and aviation trade shows in the world, witnessing the rapid development and progress of China's aerospace and national defense industries.
The first edition of the show was held in 1996 with 25 participating countries or regions, 400 exhibitors, an indoor exhibition area of 8,645 square meters, and 96 aircraft. Those numbers increased to 43 participating countries or regions, 740 exhibitors, an indoor exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, and 121 aircraft at the latest show in 2022.
The upcoming event will be held from November 12 to 17, 2024 in Zhuhai, Guangdong province with 120,000 sq m of indoor exhibition space and a 230,000 sq m outdoor area. Over 780 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions are expected to participate. Themed exhibition areas include: civil aviation industry chain; low altitude economy; commercial space; and defense and equipment. Participating companies can choose between a packaged booth; raw space; outdoor space and a single- or double-story chalet. Value-added services include a UAV display area; B2B meetings; and an exhibitors road show.
