On March 29, the grand opening ceremony of Barco (Suzhou) Medical Technology Co was held in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. Jan Hoogmartens (Ambassador of Belgium to the People's Republic of China and Mongolia), Lin Xiaoming (Deputy Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Suzhou Industrial Park), Liu Hua (Member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of Suzhou Industrial Park), Liu Shiyuan (Chairman of the Chinese Society of Radiology), Charles Beauduin and An Steegen (co-CEOs of Barco) and Wang Hongbo (Executive Vice President and China Managing Director of Barco), attended the event to witness this momentous moment together with partners and media who have shown their continued interest and support to Barco Medical.
Ms Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director, Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce, and Mr Frank Van Eynde, Flemish Economic Representative in Shanghai, participated in the opening ceremony.
The opening of Barco (Suzhou) Medical Technology Co is another milestone in Barco's activities in the Chinese market. The medical high-tech company is integrating R&D, manufacturing and sales, with an advanced fully automatic production line. The company is the new flagship of Barco's medical business. The company continues to increase investment in its medical business to help Chinese doctors to improve their diagnostic level and promote the popularization and development of medical imaging and digital operating rooms.
