The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce organized a company visit to its structural partner, Dahua Technology, on 20 April 2026 at its Belgian office in Mechelen. The visit opened with remarks by Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director of FCCC, followed by insights from Koen De Vuyst and Arnaud Lacourt of Dahua. The exchange highlighted Dahua’s scale and innovation strength, with 23,000+ employees globally, a strong R&D focus, and broad applications of its video-centric AIoT solutions across sectors including retail, transport, education and manufacturing.
Particularly relevant for Europe was the discussion on digital transformation, smart infrastructure and the value of combining innovation capacity with compliance awareness. A valuable visit, and a strong reminder of how building bridges between Flanders and China creates concrete business opportunities for our members.
As Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce, we also had the opportunity to visit the headquarters of Dahua Technology in Hangzhou. The delegation members were particularly impressed by the scale of the company and the breadth of its activities.
