The South Korea (Shandong) Import Expo, co-hosted by the municipal government of Weihai city, the Department of Commerce of Shandong province and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Qingdao, is the first import-themed exhibition targeting South Korean commodities in Shandong province.
In 2022, the second Expo held more than 20 supporting activities, bringing together 786 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions, mainly South Korea, and more than 2,000 registered well-known buyers, attracting nearly 100,000 visitors, 25 South Korean Fortune 500 and industry leading enterprises, including Samsung, Hyundai, Lotte, and Psoco, gathered in Weihai.
The third Expo will be held from July 28th to August 1st at the Weihai International Economic and Trade Center. The exhibition area of this year's Expo is 45,000 square meters, with over 1,200 international standard booths planned to be set up, including theme exhibition areas such as the China South Korea Achievement Zone, Cross Border Theme Zone, International Exchange Zone, and Local Brand Zone. The Expo will hold a series of supporting activities such as the 6th China South Korea Innovation Competition, procurement matchmaking meetings, online celebrity live-streaming, and a carnival.
