Mr Kurt Vandeputte, Chairman of the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce, and Ms Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director, on April 24 received a delegation of the China International Import Expo (CIIE), led by Mr Sun Chenghai. Mrs Sophie Zhuang, General Manager Bank of China Brussels, was also present. The delegation was received at the premises of Umicore in Brussels. Mr Vandeputte, who is also Senior Vice President Battery Recycling Solutions at Umicore, gave a speech and introduced his company. Ms Gwenn Sonck introduced the role of the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce and the EU-China Business Association. The leader of the delegation informed us about the opportunities for our Flemish companies to promote their products at the CIIE, which will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10, 2023 (see information in the article above).
