The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce is organizing a webinar on China AI Regulation in Practice: What European Companies Need to Know in 2026.
Against a backdrop of evolving domestic and international developments, this webinar will provide a practical overview of China’s AI regulatory system in 2026, with particular attention to:
• Generative AI services, content labelling, data governance, and cross-border data flows
• The impact of AI regulation on business operations, products, data, and risk exposure
• Key considerations for European companies doing business in or with China
As artificial intelligence is increasingly being used in business functions linked to China, from customer service, marketing, and HR to R&D, manufacturing, and internal data systems, European companies are facing a new and rapidly evolving compliance landscape. China is no longer discussing AI only at the level of national strategy, but is also implementing a practical regulatory framework affecting real business operations.
This webinar will explain the main legal pillars of China’s AI governance, highlight common assumptions foreign companies often make when using AI in a China-related context, and discuss representative Chinese cases to illustrate how these rules are beginning to operate in practice.
This session is designed to support the strategic assessment and decision-making of European businesses regarding China-related activities. It will also offer practical guidance on how management teams can identify and manage legal and operational risks at an early stage.
