Chinese New Year Reception & 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Flanders China Chamber of Commerce – 10 February 2025 – Brussels

On February 10, the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC) celebrated its 20th anniversary and the Year of the Snake at the Flemish Parliament in Brussels. The event brought together over 200 attendees, including business leaders, government officials, and representatives from both Flanders and China.

The celebration was opened by Mr. Philippe Latour, Chairman of the FCCC, and Mrs. Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director of the FCCC, who warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. The event featured keynote speeches from H.E. Mr. Fei Shengchao, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Belgium, and Mr. Matthias Diependaele, Minister-President of the Government of Flanders and Flemish Minister for Economy, Innovation, Industry, Foreign Affairs, Digitalisation, and Facility Management.

Both speakers congratulated FCCC on its two decades of fostering strong trade and economic ties between Flanders and China. Their speeches highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation in navigating challenges and seizing new opportunities in business and investment.

The event was a special moment to reflect on FCCC’s contributions in bridging business communities, supporting companies in both regions, and encouraging economic collaboration.
