The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure to invite you to attend the Tianjin-Antwerp Business Dialogue organized by the Development Authority Antwerp and the province of Antwerp, in close cooperation with the Port of Antwerp, Flanders Investment &  Trade, Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce Antwerp-Waasland,  Chamber of Commerce Kempen and the Chamber of Commerce Mechelen.

Tianjin is located only 120km away from the capital of Beijing and has 10 million inhabitants.
Although for some the city is less renown than for example Beijing or Shanghai, Tianjin’s economic potential is by no means inferior.

An extensive delegation of Tianjin of around 170 people and some 230 participants from the Belgian side assisted this event.

In the morning, there were speeches by Mr Camille Paulus, Governor of the Province of Antwerp and HE Mrs Zhang Qiyue, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Belgium.

Mrs Xing Jun, Vice-Chairwoman of the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, gave a presentation about the Tianjin area.
This was followed by a testimonial of conducting business in Tianjin by Mr Patrick Keereman, Managing Director of Vitamex NV, a company specialized in animal nutrition.

Mr Koen Helsen, Vice-Governor of the Province of Antwerp and Chairman of the Development Authority Antwerp, gave more information about conducting business in the province of Antwerp.
To close the morning session, Mr Bai Wenbin of Tianjin Liho gave a testimonial of doing business in the province of Antwerp.

In the afternoon, there were several business contacts between Belgian and Chinese companies.
Being an important partner to this event, the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce had its own infodesk were people could obtain more information about the FCCC, its activities and publications.
The succesful business dialogue was well appreciated, and it is almost certain that this event will lead to concrete business opportunities for companies from both Antwerp and Tianjin.
