International Entrepreneurship Invitation
Logistical aspects of doing business with China

Gent- Tuesday May 13th, 2008 - 17PM

Dear Sir, Madam,

On May 13th, 2008 Voka Chamber of Commerce East Flanders, in cooperation with BICCS, FCCC and Hong Kong Trade & Development Agency, organises a seminar on the logistical aspects of doing business with China.

China’s huge market and low production costs are an enormous attraction to foreign entrepreneurs.
Due to the distance between China and Belgium, logistical operations considerably influence the cost price of products, the stock management and delivery time of the goods. How can the Belgian entrepreneur optimise his logistical operations between Belgium and China? What are the main obstacles and how can they be solved? The production costs in the interior of China are much lower than those at the East coast. What are the logistical consequences for your company?

We offer you the following programme:

16u30 : Reception of the participants

17u00 : Hong Kong Trade &Development Council: services introduction by George Ammerlaan ( Director Benelux and Eastern Europa )

17u20 : “China: Juridical aspects of logistical organisation“ by Patricia Leers, Managing partner A-Law and Mo Chen ( China lawyer)

17u45 : “Doing business with China: how to organise your logistical issues practically?” by Koen de Ridder, Flanders Investment & Trade representative in Guangzhou
