The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC) organized a seminar focused on the recent trends and challenges on foreign investment in China on November 16 at De Warande. Experts, which have both been living and working in China for many years, gave an insight on different aspects when investing and doing business with China.

Mr Philippe Snel, Lawyer at De Wolf & Partners in Shanghai and Chairman of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce, gave a general overview of the recent evolution of foreign investment in China including the topics on contracting and mergers and acquisitions in China. His long experience in China provided very practical and up-to-date information on the current standing of business in China.

Mr Jurgen Kracht, Managing Director of Fiducia, is a management consultant with over 35 years of experience in China trade and investment. Mr Kracht shared his expertise on topics such as the current human resource issues, discussed the trends in salaries and retention tools and the key challenges in day to day business with China, and discussed how to control your China subsidiary. The event was concluded by an exchange of experiences and a reception.
