Dear Madam, Dear Sir,

We are pleased to invite you to our conference on the latest developments in China’s taxation system which will take place at noon on Friday, 12 February 2010 at KBC bank, Havenlaan 2 in Brussels.

The proceedings will be divided into 2 parts:

The first part will aim to clarify the situation regarding both customs and VAT relief in China. On January 10, 2010, China was formally crowned the top exporter in the world, eclipsing Germany's reign. China is still the world's factory, but manufacturing costs have risen, so have you fully explored all the forms of available tax relief to protect your profit margin?

In this presentation, Deloitte's leading customs and VAT expert for China will brief participants on the changes that have occurred over the last 12 months and guide you through the possible forms of relief available in China, briefing you on the pros and cons and providing numerous practical tips. The second part will tackle the numerous tax circulars that China issued in 2009, covering business restructuring, transfer pricing, reporting obligations and withholding-tax issues. At the same time, the Chinese tax authorities have started cracking down on the use of specially set up letterbox holding companies and associated tax treaty abuses.

As conference participants, you will be guided through the latest developments and made to understand how these changes impact on your business in China.

The programme is as follows:

12.00            Registration and a sandwich lunch

12.30            Welcome by Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director, Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce
