The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce and the Flanders Cleantech Association have the pleasure of inviting you to a conference on ‘Opportunities and Challenges in China’s Cleantech Sector’.  The conference will take place on Thursday, 7 April 2011 at 2.30 pm at The House of the Province of East Flanders, Gouvernementstraat 1, 9000 Ghent, Belgium.

China’s next five-year plan will clearly focus on tackling environmental problems and energy efficiency.  In his recent report to the National People's Congress, Premier Wen Jiabao mentioned that China’s target in terms of Energy Efficiency will be to reduce energy consumption per unit of GDP by 16% in the five years to 2015. The plan also included a range of environmental targets, which will be highlighted during the conference.

China offers Flemish businesses growing opportunities for setting up operations and providing environmental technologies and services. During the conference, a group of experts will give you insights into the opportunities in China’s environment sector and will share their experiences of developing their business activities in that sector.
