Webinar on 11 January: Food Additives in China – Current Requirements and Expected Changes

China has established a solid but rather complex regulatory system for food additives. This system can be difficult to navigate for European small and medium-sized food producers who often have questions about the scope and permitted usage of food additives in China. Furthermore, the distinction between new food additives and new food raw materials might be confusing to some.

To provide practical guidance to European SMEs on regulations pertaining to food additives, the EU SME Centre, in collaboration with the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, is organising a webinar based on the recently published 2022 Guidelines “Food Additives in China: Regulations and Practical Cases”.

EU SME Centre experts will provide an overview of the laws and regulations governing food additives in China, discuss the latest labelling requirements and introduce the expected changes to the regulations.

The programme is as follows:

9h30 - 9h40: Words of Welcome. Opening remarks by Alessio Petino, Business Advisor, EU SME Centre.

EU SME Centre Presentation | China-Italy Chamber of Commerce Introduction

9h40 – 10h15: Food Additives in China, Mr. Rubén Martinez Gómez and Ms. Lydia Ye, Eibens

10h15 – 10h30: Q&A Session
